Installation GuideThere are two ways to install RestEasytm depending on the version you purchased. Hard Drive InstallThe Hard Drive install will install and run RestEasytm on your local computer's hard drive. With this installation your information will be saved on your computer.USB Drive InstallThe USB Drive install will install the RestEasytm launcher only on your local computer's hard drive and any dependent components. The RestEasytm organizer will actually run from the supplied USB drive. With this installation your information will be saved on the USB drive and not the local computer. Disconnecting the USB drive secures all of your information. InstallationTo install RestEasy:
Once you have installed the program and created a profile, you may wish to go through the included questionnaire to help you prepare for entering data into the RestEasy Organizer. A soft copy of the questionnaire can be found in the Program Files/HOLTEC/RestEasy/PDF directory. DependenciesRestEasytm is built on the Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 and also uses Microsoft SQLServer Express. This is nothing you need to be concerned with, but it does mean that the computer you run RestEasytm on must have these components installed. The install will automatically check for these components and install them if necessary. In rare occurrences, there is an incompatibilty with the computer that causes a problem when installing these components. If you receive an error during the install related to the .NET framework 3.5 or SQLServer, you can try to install the latest versions directly from Microsoft. Click here to download the .NET framework 3.5. Click here to download SQLServer Express. Desktop IconsThe installer will create a desktop icon to launch the RestEasytm organizer. If you performed a USB Drive install then the USB drive must be connected to start RestEasytm. Double click the desktop icon to start the RestEasytm organizer. NOTE: When running the organizer, there will also be a RestEasytm icon in the icon tray. You can use this icon to interact with the organizer is minimized. UninstallTo uninstall RestEasytm go to Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs. Find the RestEasytm icon and select Remove. Related Topics:
